Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 5 October 2026

1. Who provides the service

Export Compliance Desk is provided by Human Intel OÜ, Tornimäe tn 3/5/7, 10145 Tallinn, Estonia. Registration number: 16384008. VAT number: EE102473098. Contact: csk@humanintel.eu.

These Terms and Conditions apply to purchases and use of Export Compliance Desk. “We”, “us” and “our” mean Human Intel OÜ. “You” means the business customer and the authorised person using its account. A separately agreed written service contract takes precedence where it expressly differs from these terms.

2. Business use and authority

The service is intended for businesses reviewing commercial export transactions. By purchasing a case, you confirm that you are acting for business purposes and have authority to place the order and submit information for the customer. Please contact us before purchasing if you want the service for personal use. Describing an order as a business purchase does not remove any mandatory consumer rights that apply in law.

3. What one purchase includes

One purchase provides one export case in a private customer workspace. You enter product and transaction information, upload supporting documents and submit the case for a preliminary assessment. The assessment covers product classification, compliance and safety questions, destination conformity requirements, and transport and customs preparation.

The standard offer includes two submitted analyses of the same case, subject to the limits shown before purchase. It is intended for one coherent product or shipment case, rather than unrelated transactions. If your case requires additional products, new destinations, further analyses or specialist work, contact us for a separate quotation.

The report may identify missing information, competing classifications, unavailable sources and questions for your buyer, transport provider and customs broker. These are valid findings, rather than confirmation that every question can be resolved automatically. Certificates, laboratory testing, licensing applications, legal opinions, customs declarations, transport bookings and specialist advisory work are not included unless expressly agreed.

4. Price, VAT and payment

The standard price is €100 per case, excluding VAT. The price and included limits displayed when you order apply to that purchase. Stripe handles the payment and calculates applicable VAT at checkout. Review the final total, billing details and tax information before paying. VAT treatment depends on the transaction and the information supplied; entering a VAT number does not itself guarantee a tax exemption.

Payment is due in advance. An order is accepted when successful payment is confirmed and we make the case available. A payment-page return or an unsuccessful payment does not by itself create an entitlement to the service. If payment is taken but we cannot provide the purchased service, contact us for a remedy or refund. There is no recurring subscription under the standard one-case offer.

5. Account access and customer information

New customers receive an email to set their password after payment confirmation. Existing customers keep their current login. Keep your credentials secure and tell us promptly about suspected unauthorised access. Account access is personal to authorised users and must not be resold, shared with unrelated parties or used to attempt access to another customer’s case.

Supply accurate, current and sufficiently detailed information about the product, manufacturer, exporter, buyer, end user, intended use, destination, route and relevant parties. You are responsible for checking your submissions and correcting errors. Where essential information is missing, the assessment may remain incomplete until you provide it.

Only upload material you are authorised to share. Remove unnecessary personal data, passwords, payment-card details and unrelated confidential information. Do not upload special-category personal data, criminal-offence data, classified material, or controlled technology that requires an authorisation for disclosure to us or our providers, unless we have agreed a lawful and suitable handling arrangement in advance.

6. AI processing and the status of the report

The service uses AI, including the Anthropic Claude API, to analyse submitted information and supporting documents and to research relevant sources. The automatic assessment depends on the available facts, accessible sources and processing limits. AI can misunderstand documents, omit requirements, return incorrect findings or fail to access a relevant register. Sources and rules may change after a review.

Reports are preliminary guidance. They are not binding tariff rulings, legal opinions, certificates, licence decisions, complete sanctions-screening results or permission to ship. You must verify classifications and current requirements, resolve outstanding issues and obtain required approvals before acting. The exporter and its responsible advisers or authorities retain responsibility for final decisions.

You may contact Human Intel for human assistance. Additional advisory work is subject to agreement and may carry a separate fee. The Privacy Policy explains the handling of personal data and providers involved in processing.

7. Processing time, corrections and availability

Analysis starts after you submit the required information and documents. Timing depends on document complexity, service availability and whether further information is needed. We do not promise instant completion or a particular clearance or certification outcome. Completed sections may remain available while a failed or incomplete section is being addressed.

Tell us promptly if a report appears incorrect or a paid assessment fails. Include the case reference and relevant details. We will investigate and, where appropriate, correct the report, resume processing or provide another reasonable remedy. Technical retries used to complete a failed analysis are distinguished from submitting a new or corrected case. Existing purchases are not subject to materially reduced limits without your agreement.

8. Cancellation, refunds and complaints

For business purchases, contact us before submitting the first analysis if you wish to cancel an unused case. We will refund an unused standard case, subject to verifying that processing has not started. After processing starts, a change of mind does not automatically entitle a business customer to a refund for work already performed. This does not limit remedies for a service we fail to provide or mandatory rights.

If we cannot deliver the purchased assessment within a reasonable time and cannot agree a suitable remedy with you, you may request a refund for the undelivered service. An assessment that identifies insufficient evidence or unresolved requirements is not necessarily a failed service. We do not guarantee a favourable classification, approval or permission to export.

Send complaints and refund requests to csk@humanintel.eu, quoting the case and payment reference. Approved refunds are normally returned through Stripe to the original payment method; bank and payment-provider processing times vary.

If you legally qualify as a consumer, mandatory distance-contract rights, including a generally applicable 14-day withdrawal right, remain available. Acceptance of these terms alone is not consent to start work during that period and is not a waiver of withdrawal rights. Any request for early performance, proportionate charge or loss of a withdrawal right must meet the applicable legal requirements separately.

9. Confidentiality, data and permitted use

You retain your rights in the information and documents you submit. You give us permission to use and transmit them only as needed to provide, support and secure the service, comply with law and address disputes, subject to applicable data-protection obligations. We limit access to authorised personnel and relevant providers. Confidentiality does not prevent disclosures required by law.

You may use your purchased report for your own business transaction and share it with your buyer, broker, professional adviser or competent authority, with its qualifications and limitations intact. You must not present a preliminary report as an official approval, remove warnings in a misleading way, resell the platform, copy its software, or interfere with its security.

10. Liability

We will provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, intentional wrongdoing or gross negligence where required by law, and any other mandatory protection. Subject to those protections, for business customers our aggregate liability arising from a particular standard case is limited to the fees paid for that case, and we are not liable for indirect loss or lost profit to the extent permitted by law.

This limitation does not excuse failure to provide the purchased service or remove an agreed refund obligation. You remain responsible for final commercial, legal and shipment decisions, including independent verification before relying on a preliminary finding. Any limitation is subject to the mandatory rules governing the particular contract.

11. Suspension and termination

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary because of suspected misuse, unlawful content, security concerns, a disputed or reversed payment, or a material breach of these terms. Where practicable, we will explain the reason and allow you to address it. Suspension does not remove statutory rights or our responsibility to deal fairly with paid but undelivered services.

12. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms for future purchases. The version accepted when you purchased a case governs that purchase unless a lawful change is required or we agree otherwise with you. The date at the top identifies this version.

Estonian law governs the contract, subject to mandatory protections that apply regardless of this choice. Business disputes are subject to the competent courts of Estonia, except where mandatory jurisdiction rules require otherwise. Please contact us first so that we can try to resolve a concern directly.
